How To Register Online In UFS? Provisional registration Ufs
UFS Registration for the University of the Free State. Please be aware that the institution has changed a lot of its curriculum and module codes. If you are unsure of the module code(s) you need to register for, please go to your faculty rule book. Go here to access the rulebook for the faculty of your choice. You won’t be allowed to register online even if just one of the upcoming requirements is not met.
Students who are unable to register for classes online must come to campus during the registration period, which runs from September 3 to 11, 2023. To register for the academic year, adhere to the instructions below. Provisional registration Ufs

Guidelines for Registration
The following is an outline of the steps to register for your qualification and modules: Provisional registration Ufs
Step 1: For online registration, click here.
Please note that for some qualifications you cannot register online. You must register in person on campus for:
- Some of the extended curriculum students
- Occasional studies
- Qualifications in the Faculty of Health Sciences
- International students
- UFS Business School students (unless otherwise communicated)

Step 3: CHANGING OF MODULES AFTER REGISTRATION

Self-Service Registration
1: Log in with your student number and password on the Oracle PeopleSoft system. Please check to see if your UFS password has not expired since you will need it to access UFS electronic systems.
How to set your UFS Password:
- Log on to:http://selfservice.ufs.ac.za
- To activate your password, log in with the following:
Username: Student number
Password: Your personal password.
If your password has been reset, UFS will provide you with a temporary password that you must update the first time you log in to the system.
With the One-Time-Pin, you’ll need your mobile device.
2: Click on the tile in the PeopleSoft system by going to the Student Center tile on the Student Homepage. There will be a “enroll” link on the left side of the Student Service Center website. If you select the link, you will be taken to the appropriate page where you can make modifications to your enrollment.
3: Do the various tasks as instructed to choose and enroll in the appropriate module or to withdraw from a previously enrolled module
4: Verify that your Proof of Registration includes all the modules (courses) you wanted to enroll in.
The following day after you registered, you will receive an email with a link to the Proof of Registration, which is also accessible on the Student Center page.
