The academic year at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2024–2025 will begin from April 30 to September 30. (UKZN). To be evaluated for admission to a degree or postgraduate program during the first semester (February) of an academic year, students in Grade 12 and undergraduate transfer students from other institutions must apply to UKZN 2024 through the Central Applications Office (CAO) Application 2024 portal. KZN University Online Application 2024-2025
- On the UKZN website’s top menu, select “Apply.”
- Depending on your school degree, choose “Undergraduate Applications” or “Postgraduate Applications.”
- Read the guidelines and requirements for registration in detail.
- Choose “Apply Online” to begin the enrollment process.
- By providing your name, address, and email address, you can register.
- Your academic background, contact information, and personal information must all be entered in the necessary fields of the online application form.

How Can I Log in To The University Of KZN Student Central
You need to follow these simple instructions in order to access UKZN’s Student Central;
- Navigate directly to the Student Central Page through this link https://sc.ukzn.ac.za/
- Input your student number in the field.
- Click proceed.
- Then, input your password to log in.
The University Of KZN Online Application Fee 2024-2025
- A non-refundable online application fee of R210 is payable to UKZN (with a late fee of R420)
- If students apply before 31 October 2023, the CAO application fee is R250.
- If students apply from 1 November 2023 onwards, the CAO application fee is R470.

All prospective applicants should remember to upload the following documents (where applicable)
- Certified copy of your ID/passport.
- Certified copy of your National Senior/Matric Certificate or O/A Levels or relevant school leaving qualification/certificate.
- Proof from Universities South Africa (previously known as HESA), that you qualify for admission to degree studies at South African universities if you are an international applicant.
- Certified copies of your degree certificate(s), academic record, and certificate of conduct, if you attended other universities.
- Proof of English proficiency for International applicants from non-English speaking countries.
- South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluations if the previous qualification(s) was/were obtained at foreign universities (outside South Africa).
- A research proposal/proposed title of the dissertation/thesis if you are applying for a Masters’s Degree or PhD.
- A valid study visa to study in SA if you are an International applicant.
- USAF/SAQA documents are to be uploaded in order to complete your application.
- Ensure to use reference APPN (followed by your student number) when making application fee payments.
University Of KZN Financial Aid And Accommodation
- The University has a policy of granting financial aid and rooms in residence only to students who have a reasonable chance of completing a programme.
- Financial aid and a place in residence will continue if a student’s academic performance is satisfactory. Students in doubt must consult with the Student Funding Centre to determine if further funding will be available.
- If there is a poor chance of funding, it is sensible to start making alternative arrangements or enquire about less expensive study options.
