How to apply at UKZN for 2024,UKZN Online Registration 2024-2025
UKZN university provide internationally recognized degrees. Once your application has been accepted, you must enrol in classes for the upcoming academic year. Online enrollment is available for the 2024 academic year. Notably, before the start of each academic semester, the University of KwaZulu-Natal requires all students to register for their modules. Therefore, if you have not finished registering for the semester, the institution will not permit you to access the campus or hostel facilities. We will lead you through each step in this tutorial to help you register for your modules at UKZN.
UKZN Online Registration Dates
Orientation and dedicated remote online registration of First time entering new (FTEN) students – Monday, 6 February – Saturday, 11 February. This will include virtual curriculum support.
- First semester and Lectures commence – on 13 February
- Final date for minimum fee payment required for registration – 24 February
- Final date for semester 1 registration – February
- Final date for curriculum changes – 24 February 2023

ON-LINE REGISTRATION STEPS
The following steps are integral to the successful completion of your registration
- Step 1
Compliance with all the pre-registration requirements i.e. you have been fully admitted to the desired degree, have obtained financial clearance and have cleared and removed all system holds on your student number as per the University’s rules and policies
- Step 2
Go to the website http://sc.ukzn.ac.za
- Step 3
Enter your Student Number
- Step 4
New Students: Enter your initial password (DDMM of your birthdate e.g. 3112 if your birthday is the 32st of December) Returning Students: Enter your Student Central password (or DDMM if you have never used Student Central before) Click on login (If this is the 1st time you are using Student Central you will be prompted to create a password)
- Step 5
Go to the Administration Menu and choose Self-Help Registration and follow the prompts
- Step 6
Click on UKZN Web Registration on the left of the screen and complete each of the steps sequentially
- Step 7
If you make any mistakes click on Cancel Subject and choose your subjects again, otherwise click Complete
Registration
- Step 8
Proceed to Risk Management Services (RMS), with your ID Book, to have a student card issued (in case of
new student or lost card) or validated (in case of returning student)
UKZN University Financial Aid And Accommodation
- The University has a policy of granting financial aid and rooms in residence only to students who have a reasonable chance of completing a programme.
- Financial aid and a place in residence will continue if a student’s academic performance is satisfactory. Students in doubt must consult with the Student Funding Centre to determine if further funding will be available.
- If there is a poor chance of funding, it is sensible to start making alternative arrangements or enquire about less expensive study options.
