The University of KwaZulu-Natal will take applications for the academic year 2024-2025 from 30 April 2024 through 30 September 2024. (UKZN). Students in Grade 12 and undergraduate transfer students from other institutions must submit an application to UKZN 2024 through the Central Applications Office (CAO) Application 2024 portal in order to be considered for admission to a degree- or diploma-level program in the first semester (February) of an academic year. What Is The UKZN Student Central Login Procedure
To access UKZN’s Student Central, simply adhere to the directions below;
- Navigate directly to the Student Central Page through this link https://sc.ukzn.ac.za/
- Input your student number in the field.
- Click proceed.
- Then, input your password to log in.
UKZN Online Application Fee 2024-2025
- A non-refundable online application fee of R210 is payable to UKZN (with a late fee of R420)
- If students apply before 31 October 2023, the CAO application fee is R250.
- If students apply from 1 November 2023 onwards, the CAO application fee is R470.

The following papers should be uploaded by all potential applicants (where applicable)
- your visa or ID, certified.
- a certified duplicate of your O/A Levels, National Senior/Matric Certificate, or another pertinent school-leaving credential.
- If you are a foreign applicant, you must provide documentation from Universities in South Africa (previously known as HESA) proving that you are eligible for admission to degree programs at South African institutions.
- certified copies of your academic transcript, conduct certificate, and degree certificate, if you attended other universities.
- Proof of English proficiency for International applicants from non-English speaking countries.
- South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluations if the previous qualification(s) was/were obtained at foreign universities (outside South Africa).
- A research proposal/proposed title of the dissertation/thesis if you are applying for a Masters’s Degree or PhD.
- A valid study visa to study in SA if you are an International applicant.
- USAF/SAQA documents are to be uploaded in order to complete your application.
- Ensure to use reference APPN (followed by your student number) when making application fee payments.
UKZN University Financial Aid And Accommodation
- The University has a policy of granting financial aid and rooms in residence only to students who have a reasonable chance of completing a programme.
- Financial aid and a place in residence will continue if a student’s academic performance is satisfactory. Students in doubt must consult with the Student Funding Centre to determine if further funding will be available.
- If there is a poor chance of funding, it is sensible to start making alternative arrangements or enquire about less expensive study options.
